ABOUT
I was born Eleanor Kiff, but now I’m Eleanor Kifvel. I’m a producer on the Jeremy Vine programme on BBC Radio 2, the most popular current affairs programme in the UK. Every weekday we cover the biggest political stories, as well as compelling subjects that don’t feature on the daily news agenda, to an audience of more than 7 million listeners.
I studied law at university, and volunteered with the Kent Law Clinic. I decided against a career at the bar, and I got into radio through contacts I’d made studying media law.
I worked on Dermot O’Leary’s radio show on Radio 2 for over 6 years, which had incredible live performances - the #SaturdaySessions - and gave airtime to new unsigned bands. I’ve also worked as an assistant producer with Jo Whiley and on Steve Lamacq’s 6Music show.
I’ve produced several documentaries, including a mini-series with mothers of soldiers fallen in conflict, one on politics in folk music and one about the early days of Austrian radio.
I aim to produce radio with punch, bite and colour. If you have a story that needs to be told, please do get in touch here.
